20 Random Things About Me

Today I’m sharing 20 random facts about me; things you may not know and/or may not even want to know. Ha! Regardless, here goes:

1.  I love salty snacks. I’m not a sweets person and I don’t like chocolate. I’d rather munch on a bag of Pretzel Crisps than a bag of M&M’s.

2.  I am incredibly observant. I will notice that you changed out your kitchen canisters from a navy blue set to a royal blue set, that your trimmed one inch from your hair or even that you are wearing a different shade of lipstick.

3.  Words of Affirmation is my love language, which is odd because I absolutely suck at receiving compliments (I’m working on this).  I think knowing and being aware of your love language is very important + knowing the love language of your signification other and close friends.  Myself and both of my best friends are Words of Affirmation, which is perhaps why we make such great friends.  Also, this probably explains why I always compliment those around me.  If you look great or did something really neat, you can assure you that I will tell you!  I love to share the love!

4.  I’m a freak about food/drink temperature.  Every morning I pour my creamer into my coffee cup and then microwave it for 50 seconds and then make the coffee.  I want my hot drinks and hot meals HOT. I always order my Starbucks extra hot and I have to eat meals as soon as they’re ready (before they get cool) and I always heat up my meal at Thanksgiving because, if it’s not super hot, it just doesn’t taste good to me.  Same goes for cold foods…they need to be ICE COLD.

5.  I love, love, love to travel!  I wish I could travel to a new place every month.  Sadly, though I love to travel, I haven’t bee to that many places, but it’s top priority of mine to change that. I want to see the world!

6.  I have a hard time tolerating judgmental people; however, ironically, when I’m around a judgmental person, I’m secretly judging their judgmental-ness in my mind….so….I guess that makes me judgmental, too.

7.  My mother is one of my most favorite people in the world!  She is everything I think a women should be.  She sees no color or race or prejudice, she is incredibly open-minded and non-judgmental.  She loves the Lord and her family and she gives the best advice.  She believes in chasing your dreams; she is giving and so much fun. Oh, and she has a great sense of style!  I hope I’m just like her when I grow up.

8.  Both of my best friends are bloggers. Bethany at Crisp Collective and Heather at Blonde Twin Mom, but we were all great friends well before our blogs.  We are all three very different, but I love that we share a passion for blogging (and everything in life) + a Word of Affirmation love language (ha!).  I can’t imagine my life without them!

9.  I danced almost my entire life.  I was captain of my High School, College, and Professional (The Dallas Desperados) dance teams.  Until I reached my mid-twenties, I was certain that I would dance for the rest of my life, but then I eventually got burned out.  However, I still have a major obsession with dance and can spend hours on YouTube watching dance videos and I LOVE to dance any chance I get.  Whenever I go out, you will always catch me on the dance floor!

10.  I almost burned my house down (twice) because I forgot to put the water in the Easy Mac before putting it in the microwave.

11.  I think being trustworthy and being funny are two of the best traits!

12.  I am a very loud person. Talk loud, laugh loud, just flat out loud.  If you ask someone to describe me, the first thing they would probably say is – she is loud.  This used to really bother me, but I have embraced my loudness. It’s just who I am.  Just know, if you get me laughing, you better have some earplugs.

13.  I had to use fertility treatments to have both of my kids.  I had what doctors described as “unexplained infertility”, which means there was absolutely nothing wrong with me, I just couldn’t seem to get pregnant.  The birth of  my son was one of the best days of my entire life!

14.  Sitting on a restaurant patio on a sunny day, drinking adult beverages, listening to live music, chatting + laughing with good friends is one of my favorite “kid-free” things to do!

15.  I have three sisters.  We are all very different, but the love and support we have for each other is like nothing else!  I don’t know how my mother raised four girls without losing her mind…or maybe she did.

16.  Interacting with my readers / followers is my favorite thing about blogging.  I talk to my followers on Instagram everyday and I feel like I’ve become such good friends with so many of them.  The direct messages I receive from them always make me smile!

17.   I don’t want to get old and I’m going to fight it as much a possible.

18.  I am a FREAK about painting my nails. I can’t not have my nails painted.  It’s pretty much an obsession and my sisters and mother are the same way.  I paint my nails once or twice every single week.  It makes me happy to see that my daughter loves to have hers painted, too….especially considering she is a major tomboy!

19.   I am a creative person, inside and out.  I feel like I have ideas flowing in my brain nonstop. I LOVE talking business + entrepreneurship with anyone and everyone and I’m instantly drawn towards other creative people.

20.  I cry a LOT.  I’m not a sad person at all, but I’m very sappy.  I can’t get through a single episode of This Is Us without ugly crying.  I think having kids made me this way because I don’t remember being much of a crier when I was in high school or college, but now….shoot, I cry allllll the tears.  When my kids start kindergarten, I’m going to LOSE it.  I can see it now – “Ma’am, you need to calm down; you’ll see them in 6 hours.”

  5. The first reason: There are many users of Mandriva who
weren’t very pleased while installing the latest version last year.
Users who would like to run applications on bare metal or the cloud with a Linux server OS packed
with the latest open source technology can download Fedora
Server, which comes with a modern administrator dashboard,
advanced identity management, DNS, certificate services, and Windows domain integration. This is
notably clear from its neat, simple, and intuitive UI
whose look-and-feel closely resembles Windows 7 and 10. For
Windows or macOS users who are trying their hand out in Linux, this distribution comes highly recommended.
And that’s where Manjaro comes in. That’s why many users call it “Windows look-a-like on steroids”.
    • Updating the Source/Executable distinction for modern development practices, including interpreted languages, binary modification,
and non-code users. Done incorrectly this can cause headaches
including a system that will not boot. Zorin OS
is based upon the Ubuntu distribution, meaning it’s compatible with everything
Ubuntu works with, including all the libraries and repositories used by the Linux distro.

However, it is based on Debian, which is another
Linux distro. Alternatively, you can download UNetbootin binaries and run them without installing
on the Linux systems (supports all Linux distributions).
