To be real honest, most days, I have a hard time wanting to get “ready”. Most weeks, I live in faux workout clothes, my hair goes days without being washed and makeup is an afterthought. This momma of two is usually lookin’ like a hot mess. I’ve realized, however, I’m more inclined to get “dressed” if I have easy and comfortable things to throw on, like a basic white tee (that I can sleep in later) and a super stretchy pair of jeans. I often wear this same outfit with a pair of converse.
I definitely recommend investing in some basic pieces that are versatile and comfortable. By just adding a simple vest and a pair of heels, I went from play date to dinner date. Well, that, and I also added make-up because you won’t catch me with curled hair and rosy cheeks at a play date. I think my mom friends would divorce me for that; play-dates are for embracing faux workout clothes and dirty hair. And wine.
