My Favorite Black Dress

I have been struggling this week with waking up in the morning, which then puts a kink in my time management, which then puts me in an irritable mood. Getting up early to have “me” time before my kids wake up is imperative for me. I’ve been going to bed at my normal time, but, for some reason, I can’t peel myself out of bed in the morning. I realized, though, if I’m being honest with myself, I’m choosing to not get up. Nothing is preventing me from getting up and starting my day when my alarm goes off besides me choosing not to. I’m just not making it a priority, which makes me sad because I’ve been doing so great with getting up very early and, wow, it’s amazing what I can accomplish. So, that’s it. I’m done “choosing” to sleep in during the week, because doing so this entire week (and last) has killed my productivity. Getting up early does wonders for me so there’s no excuse! Tomorrow is a new day…the day when I will choose to get my butt out of bed as soon as my alarm goes off.

Okay, so enough sleep talk. This is my favorite black dress, EVER! It is incredibly comfortable and it’s the perfect length for any occasion (long enough for church, work, business, etc.). It’s a shift dress so it doesn’t cling to your body and it has 3/4 sleeves. Do you have those outfits that you could literally wear every single day? Well, this is definitely one of mine (along with leggings and oversized sweatshirts, of course). I’ve worn this dress with a military jacket, with a puffer vest, with a faux fur vest, and by itself…but pairing it with a long duster cardigan like this olive green one is my absolute favorite (also comes in a dozen colors)!
