Unique Valentine’s Date Ideas

As you know, Valentine’s Day is just two weeks away so I’m excited to share some unique and not-so-traditional Valentine’s Day date ideas.  Whether you’re celebrating it with your man, your girlfriends or even your kiddos, I’ve got you covered!

ZIP LINING

You may not be aware, but most cities have a zip lining adventure park where you can go zip lining and it’s SO much fun!  The surroundings are beautiful and it’s a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day outdoors being adventurous!  This is a great option for a date with your boyfriend or husband, a double date, or even with your kiddos (if they’re old enough).  If you live in Dallas, check out Trinity Tree Tops.  It’s under $50 and they offer other fun things to do, as well.  It really is such a great time!

ESCAPE ROOM

I have been dying to do this!  What is an escape room, you might ask?  I know, I know….being locked into a room may not sound that exciting, but I assure you that I have heard SUCH great things about escape room establishments!  You get “locked” into the escape room that is filled with hidden clues and puzzles that will lead to a key or code that will then lead the way out of a room.  You also have to crack the codes in a certain amount of time to “pass” the course; each room has a huge timer that counts down.  The rooms are centered around a theme and is a great way for friends to have fun together.  An escape room needs all types of personalities and think perspectives to be a success!  Do you have other couples that you always hang out with?  Well, this would be the perfect way for you to spend your Valentine’s Day together.  This is also a great option for a Galentine’s Day (you know, Valentines for your Gals!).  If you live in Dallas, check out Rockwall Escape Rooms.

FIFTY SHADES DARKER

I’m pretty sure we’re all familiar with Fifty Shades of Grey.  Well, the sequel of that movie comes out on Valentine’s Day (well played).  So, if you’ll be spending your Valentines with your girlfriends, I would grab tickets to see this!  Most theaters will probably sell out, so I would get tickets as soon as possible…and then report back and let me know how it is!

INDOOR CAMPOUT

If you’re spending this holiday with your family, this is a great option for you.  Last year, we went to the store and grabbed stuff to make homemade pizzas and chocolate covered strawberries at home with the kids and then made a huge pallet in the living room and watched movies.  We also gifted them little Valentine’s Day treats for them to snack on during the movies.  It was super cute and a lot of fun.  We’ll definitely be making time to do that again this year.  This would also be fun to do alone with your man!

If you’re needing something a little Vanelinte’s Day-ish in regards to attire, this blush knit sweater would be perfect!  You’ve also seen me style this here.  And these distressed skinny jeans are the same as the black version you always see me wear; both pairs are my F A V E!  (If you’re in between sizes, size up.)
