My Travel Necessities

I’m baaack…from my adult Spring Break!  I had an absolute BLAST in New Orleans with my girlfriends, which I’ll be sharing tidbits of my trip with you over the new couple of weeks.  For starters, today I’m teaming up with Dove to talk about my travel necessities, specifically five things that I always take on vacation (aside from the obvious).

Cute + Cheap Sunglasses

I can’t say that I never bring my nice sunglasses on vacation, but, regardless, I always bring a pair or two of cute inexpensive pairs.  On this last trip to New Orleans, I left a pair of sunglasses at a restaurant.  Luckily, they were nothing fancy and I had another pair to wear.  I always get on Amazon for sunglasses before heading out of town.  I have purchased this exact pair a handful of times; they’re my favorite and under $10 + free shipping!  Amazon has tons and tons to choose from, but this mirrored pair is my go-to.

Fun Lip Colors

I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup of vacations because, usually, I’m in warm temperatures and I’ll be outside all day.  My make-up routine usually consist of bronzer, doing my lashes and brows, and then throwing on cute sunglasses and a fun lip color.  I let my shades and my lipstick be the “beauty” for my face, rather than piling on a ton of makeup.  So, whatever fun colors you have (pinks, reds, plums), definitely throw them in your bag.  Plus, what better way (or place) to wear those fun/bold lip shades than on vacation!

Crossbody Bag

I never travel without a crossybody bag!  I honestly don’t know what we did before crossbody bags were around because who wants to carry a purse on the their shoulder all day while on vacation?  I do have friends that will carry a wristlet, but I’m a crossbody girl, for sure!  I like to carry one that isn’t too bulky…just big enough to carry the essentials.  This is the one I carried in New Orleans; I love it!

Steve Madden Sharini Booties
