Today I’m linking up with several other bloggers to share some easy ways to wear layers. It’s not quite layering weather here in Dallas, but fall is officially here so the temps should be cooling off soon…hopefully! The best thing about layers is that by adding or removing them, you literally have a whole new outfit. And, you know me, I like to wear things as many times as possible. My go to layering pieces are typically a puffer vest, military vest, military jacket, cardigan, chambray button down, and scarves. The good thing is, most of us own several of these types of items!
I decided, rather than shooting / posting one look for this post, I’d just share a few of my everyday outfits that I’ve shared on Instagram that incorporate layers.
This striped button down is one of my favorite layer pieces! I wear it under sweaters all the time and have even worn it with a black puffer vest. I love the tailored fit of this top; that makes it a great option for layering!
I’m pretty sure we all own a puffer vest so this one is easy! I love throwing it over this white tunic because it’s lightweight so I can wear these two items together now even though the temps haven’t dropped. This tunic is just $27 and is one of the most worn items in my closet; y’all seen me share it 101 times!
I shared this kimono on the blog a few days ago. I LOVE it and it’s also a great + super cute option for layering. And, like I mentioned before, this kimono is great for all year long!
Cardigans need no introduction around here. I own an embarrassing amount of cardigans; I literally LOVE them. They look so flattering on everyone; I can see someone wearing a cardigan a mile away. The obsession is real, y’all! This grey one is just $24!
A chambray top is another item that I wear all year long! You can wear them tucked into skirts, under sweaters in the fall for cute layering, tied around your waist, or unbuttoned as see above. I get so much use out of this top!
And here’s the link up!
