Casual Basics That I’m Loving

Keeping it casual has been the theme of The Sister Studio this year, or so it seems.  It wasn’t intentional, but it definitely seemed to be what everyone was gravitating towards in regards to my style posts on social media.  I have to be honest and say that it makes me SO happy that I can show my everyday “mom style” and I don’t get shunned for it.  Sure, I like to dress up and I definitely love to wear edgy “non traditional” outfits, but that’s not conducive for my everyday life.  I work from home and am often chasing my two super active toddlers so casual + comfortable is key.   The best part, you can always be comfortable without compromising style.

I love easy basics that are incredibly versatile; I rarely purchase something for my everyday wardrobe unless it can be styled several different ways.  Mainly, I want to be able to wear things over and over…and over.   Perhaps I’m just getting lazier as I get older, but I don’t want to have to put a lot of effort into what I’m going to wear M-F, but I still want to feel cute and look somewhat presentable.  Investing in some good basics has definitely helped me accomplish this!  I can’t live without stretchy jeans, basic tees / tunics, mules, and comfy booties.  I’m sharing a lot of my favorites today at the bottom of this post!
