My denim shorts review is FINALLY here, though it didn’t quite go according to plan. You see, I thought I would order several pairs of shorts, review them for y’all, then easily pick the ones I like best and return all of the others. Except I pretty much liked them all. I think I tried on each pair a dozen times before actually deciding which pairs I would keep and which ones I will return. I really do like them all, but, let’s be real, I don’t need 8 new pairs of denim shorts. Ha!
I tried to select pairs for y’all that are different lengths, washes, rises, and price-points. The pairs I’m sharing today are from Nordstrom, Target, American Eagle, and Abercrombie and ALL have really great online reviews! I also purchased a pair from Old Navy to share with y’all, but they completely sold out (and are no longer available) so I’m not including that pair in today’s review. However, I will say, I really liked that pair so I definitely suggest seeing what options Old Navy has to offer!

BRAND: STS Blue from Nordstrom
DETAILS: 2 inch inseam (though they don’t see that short), mid-rise waist, medium wash, fit TTS. // These were the first pair that I ordered and I instantly ripped the tags off and wore them three days in a row. They are stretchy and VERY comfortable and have really good reviews! I don’t recommend drying these.

BRAND: Mossimo from Target
DETAILS: 2.5 inch inseam, high-rise waist, raw hem, medium wash, fit TTS (if between sizes, go up). // I really like these and I think they are GREAT for the price. My only issue is that these feel a little short because of the way the seam is on the sides. If you look at the middle picture above you can see that my booty looks like it could hang out. I think these would be better if I went up one size. These have awesome reviews online!

BRAND: KUT from the Klotch // Nordstrom
DETAILS: 4 inch inseam, medium wash, raw hem, mid-rise waist, fit TTS. // These have AMAZING reviews! If you’re looking for a pair of shorts with more length, these are a great option! They are very comfortable, stretchy, and hold their shape. Also, this pair has FULL booty coverage!

BRAND: Abercrombie
DETAILS: 2.5 inch inseam, dark wash, low-rise wait, fit TTS, but if you’re between sizes, go up. These Harper shorts are Insta-Famous. They are VERY popular! These are a boyfriend style and don’t have a lot of stretch, but they are very cute and pretty comfortable. I worn these a lot lately and have been pretty pleased. However, I don’t recommend drying these. These Harper shorts also come in several different styles and colors.

BRAND: Treasure & Bond from Nordstrom
DETAILS: 4 inch inseam, medium wash, button fly, with ram hem. These also have a step hem which makes them slightly longer in the back. I LOVE this pair!! If you’re looking for a longer pair with distressing, these are IT! They are a boyfriend style so they fit a little bit oversized. They are very comfortable, super trendy, and have great booty coverage! I ordered my normal size in these. I’ve had this pair for a few months now and I haven’t has any issues with washing/drying them; they didn’t shrink up or lose their shape.

DETAILS: 3 inch inseam, high waist, very stretchy, distressed with raw hem. // These are very comfy and have AMAZING reviews. When I took them out of the package I thought they were going to be SO short (and they look like denim panties online), but, surprisingly, the length is pretty good. And, again, these are VERY comfortable! I got my normal size, but if you’re between sizes, I would definitely go up in this pair. // Feedback: Of all the pairs I tried on, my best friend Heather said these were here faves!

BRAND: BLANK NYC from Nordstrom
DETAILS: 3 inch inseam, distressed with a cuffed hem, mid-rise waist (but I would almost consider these low-rise). // I really thought I would love this pair because they have such great reviews and this is one of my favorite denim brands, but I just didn’t love these. I think, mainly, because I prefer shorts without a cuff and I just don’t think these are worth the the $68 pricetag. They are very comfortable and have a good amount of stretch. These fit TTS.

BRAND: Levi’s from Nordstrom
DETAILS: 2.5 inch inseam, light wash, button fly, slight distressing with a raw hem. This pair is definitely one of my personal FAVES! I absolutely love the way they fit! They don’t have a lot of stretch, but they are very comfortable and hold their shape well. Of all the shorts I have, I get the most compliments when I wear these. They have a boyfriend style fit and are the classic 501 Levi’s. I sized up one size in this pair. I LOVE them!!

Love the shorts review! Could you tell me your thoughts on the copper birkenstocks? Do they go with a lot of outfits or would you recommend another color?
I have gotten SO much use out of the copper, but I also think you can’t go wrong with black and or brown. I will say, though, I receive compliments on the copper color alllll the time because it’s a little different than the “norm”.
