It’s Friday! Raise the roof (or whatever it is that the cool kids now say). I’m happy to be kicking off a new series called Frugal Friday. If you’ve been following me for awhile then it’s no secret that I love a good deal. Yes, I love to shop and buy clothes and have nice things, but I just don’t like spending a lot of money on most items and then, once I had children, my frugalness (is that a word?) escalated. I just felt like all the money I spent on myself could (and probably should be) spent on my kids and their clothes, toys, adventures, vacations, etc. Now, don’t get me wrong, we ALL deserve to treat ourselves…which I do probably more than I should, but you get my drift. If I can find a good deal, I’ll jump on it and, of course, share it with y’all! I should also clarify that, even though I like a good deal, I don’t like to compromise quality, and, honestly, a lot of items that have a low price are also low quality…I will not be sharing anything of that nature, just so we’re clear. So, give me all the deals and all the good quality!
For my first edition of Frugal Friday, I’m sharing these blanket scarves. I stained one of my favorite blanket scarves that I purchased from one of my favorite retailers for, gulp, $55 and, even though I LOVED it, I didn’t want pay that again to replace it. Luckily, I found these, purchased one and I swear it was literally the EXACT same one! So, naturally, I may have ordered two more. Christmas gifts for all my ladies!
