This edition of my Instagram Roundup is dedicated to my flat-lay images. For those who are unfamiliar, a flat-lay is the name for an outfit that is displayed by laying it flat on the ground rather than being worn. Typically, these types of images will get much more love and “likes” than a regular outfit post. I think because it’s much easier to envision yourself wearing items you see in a flat-lay image than on a blogger who is posing. The flat-lay, you see, is much more relatable. There’s a little blogger 101 for you. So, if you’re a blogger who is reading this, perhaps try adding some flat-lay images to your feed; your followers will be probably love it!
