Today I’m sharing my go-to Travel Style with Nordstrom. One of my goals for 2017 was to takes trips to new places and travel as much as possible. I’ve always loved to travel, but I’ve never been good at setting aside the time to actually book vacations. Plus, being a mother of two toddlers, it isn’t always easy to pick up and go. However, I’m happy to report that I’ve taken time to travel with my family and friends this year and have a few other trips planned in the upcoming weeks. Finding just a few days here and there to get away is so refreshing, even if it’s just a few miles away! And, spoiler alert, I’ll be sharing several travel diaries over the next couple months.
Though I love to travel, I don’t think I’ll ever be a “master packer”. I actually always over pack, especially when we’re bringing the kids along. I will say, however, one thing is pretty much always the same and that’s my airport attire. I have my go-to outfit when heading out of town and another go-to when returning home. Having my travel style locked in makes packing for everything else just a little bit easier.
DEPARTING ATTIRE
When heading out of town, I always want to look cute without compromising comfort. I almost always book early flights out of town (because they’re much cheaper) so we’re usually unable to check into our hotel when we arrive. This is another reason I want to show up to my vacation looking presentable, because we’ll quickly drop off our bags and be on our way until our rooms are ready. I always wear shorts or a pair of jeans with a lot of stretch, a basic tee, block heel booties, and a long cardigan (because I get cold on the plane). This lightweight cardigan from Nordstrom is my absolute favorite! I literally bring this every time I travel. These block heel booties have recently replaced my previous travel shoes. They are extremely comfortable and the color is perfect!
P.S. Not shown is this crossbody bag that’s inside my tote bag. I never travel without crossbody bag!

RETURNING ATTIRE
Truthfully, I don’t really care too much about what I look like when heading home; I just want to be comfortable. I’m tired, I have nothing on my agenda besides sitting on a plane, and I typically am rushing to the airport because I procrastinated getting our bags packed up to head home. I like to wear my favorite leggings that I snagged from Nordstrom, an oversized tee (because I’ve eaten SO much food while on vacation) and a comfy pair of sneakers. Oh, and a jacket because, again, I’m always cold. Casual attire is always my go-to!
