Weekend Getaway: Lakeway Resort and Spa

Lakeway Resort and Spa

Two weeks ago, Kyle and I headed to Texas Hill Country for a two night stay at Lakeway Resort and Spa; little did we know it would end up being one of the best weekends, ever!   It had honestly been way (like waaaaay) too long since we had a weekend to ourselves.  It’s often hard to get away plus, when we do have the time, we typically want to bring our kids along.  However, we finally made a point to look at our schedules and find two nights that we could get away…just us!  Luckily, we already knew exactly where we wanted to go.  We had heard so many great things about Lakeway Resort and Spa that we couldn’t wait to visit.  Plus, it’s only a few hour drive from Dallas, which makes it easy.

We decided we would head out early, stop by Magnolia Market at the Silos and spend the early afternoon there, and then head down to Lakeway.  The town itself is so quaint and beautiful!  Lakeway Resort and Spa sits above the beautful waters of Lake Travis; the views from every angle are literally breathtaking!

The service and staff were remarkable!  We ate at TR Restaurant and Lounge, once for breakfast and once for dinner and both meals were delish!  We sat on the patio that overlooks the pools; the food and staff were amazing!

Kyle was very impressed with their workout facility (he worked out while I slept in) and we were both blown away with their spa services.  The spa has cozy lounge areas; one for men and one for women, both have an outdoor terrace that overlooks Lake Travis.  Again, the views from every angle of Lakeway Resort and Spa are absolutely beautiful!   A couples massage with a peaceful view of the lake?  Yes, please!

We spent most of our afternoons at the pool.  They have a great kids pool, an adult only pool with a swim up bar, and a sports pool with volleyball.  Two of the pools are heated, which is convenient when the outside temps are little coolers, and there is also a large hot tub!

There are also SO many great activities to do!  There are very nice golf courses, fun breweries, hiking, sailing, and several great restaurants.  We had dinner one night at Oasis and we loved it!  The patio view was amazing!

I’m so glad Kyle and I were able to visit Lakeway Resort and Spa without our kids, but, truthfully, we can’t WAIT to go back with them!  We actually already booked a trip to go back in the spring with the Camden and Remi.  They are going to LOVE it!  Their kids pool + their kid activities are fantastic!   Also, for kids five and older, you can check them into the Kid Zone to play while you and your husband head to dinner!

The Kid Zone has indoor putt-putt, huge bounce houses, air hockey, a giant movie screen, tons of games and more.  It’s like a kids DREAM!
