Coffee Talk + Abercrombie Sale

Abercrombie

TGIF, friends!  This has been a busy and kind of hectic week.  And, truthfully, I think I’ve been in a little bit of a funk this month.  I feel like my creative tank has been on low.  Something about this season and being so ready for spring has me feeling a little blah in regards to blogging.  So, to snap out of it, I asked my followers on Instagram what they would like to see from me over the next few months.  A lot people asked for spring items, vacation wear, work wear, spring home decor, and beauty tutorials.  I started adding a lot of these suggestions to my calendar and am excited to start creating some new, spring content.

With that, I wanted to hop on and ask you all the same thing.  Are there things that you would love to see on the blog?  If so, let me know in the comments.  Personally, I really want to share more of our home renovation.   I feel like I’ve done a pretty crappy job of sharing and showing that on the blog.  I definitely plan to share some of that process soon, before and after pics, and home decor items that we’ve recently ordered for the house.

Oh, and while I have you here, I need some vacation recommendations for Spring Break.  We want to plan something for the kids, but we’re not sure where we should go.  We don’t want to do Disney this year because we want to wait for the kids to be a little bit older.  With that, please share your family-friendly vacation recommendations!  For reference, Camden is 6 and Remi is 4.  Where should we go??

Winter Blues… i feel ya, girlfriend. You’re not alone! Fingers crossed that Spring is right around the corner.

Would love to hear more about your skin care routine – I just turned 30 and feel like the wrinkle/dark spots appeared out of nowhere!

But with that, I always love to watch your funny, random everyday Insta stories – always makes me laugh! Thanks for keepin’ it real 🙂

    xo!

Would love to see your house renovations! I’m still on the 5 – 7 year plan before I can overhaul mine but I love looking at homes and getting ideas!

For Spring Break, we have done Destin the last 2 years with our girls and will go again this year. Our girls are turning 5 and 7 next month, so we started going when they were 3 and 5. I will say, we go during “Catholic” spring break (meaning over Easter) and it is not as crowded as what I hear it is during the crazy Spring Break week. I’m not sure I’d love it as much if we had to fight crowds. We love just going to the beach, crab island, dolphin tours (also known as a booze cruise so fun for the parents too!), and mini-golf and go-karts after dinner. Honestly by the time dinner is over our kids are usually exhausted from a full day of pool and beach.

For Spring break I would urge you to consider Disney at least soon. We went last Feb with my 4 1/2 year old and it was honestly a perfect age! He loved all the characters and he is tall so he was allowed to ride most all the rides. The reason I say don’t wait too long is because my in-laws took my nephew when he was 7 and he really wasn’t into the characters it was like he was to “cool” haha so it’s hard when they are in different stages of what they like! We are headed to Chicago for Spring break this year! My son loves sports so we are going to a bulls game and do the touristy things!! Good luck choosing!

I recently commented on Instagram that I would love to see more of your kids outfits, you make life so much easier when you post the sales and the links for them. Thankful for that!! I would also love to see, although probably not practical, more of your husband’s wardrobe. My husband has great jeans and a couple of great pairs of shoes, but beyond that he is hopeless!! He has 2 shirts that are over 10 years old that he wears (I kid you not) 2-3x a week. If there was a way to have an “accident” that just involved those shirts I would love hear about it 😉 so any help with some “every-wear” outfits would be much appreciated.

Spring wear, YES!! You being in Texas you know that at this time of year it can be 37 on Monday and 72 on Tuesday, yuck!! I need inspiration for those warmer days!

Vacation… I wanted to suggest San Antonio for Six Flags, Sea World, the Alamo and a coffee date with an avid follower 😆 but I think you were just here. So how about Big Bend?? Not sure how big you guys are on hiking, but we spent many a spring breaks there as a kid and it’s some if my best memories. Maybe not an entire week with a 4 and 6 year old, but maybe a night or two on the way at a dude ranch, family games, riding horses, etc.

Thanks for the time you spend doing this for all of us ❤️ Wanted to also apologize, but let you know that I’m working harder to change O:-) , for not shopping through your links. I am still hooked on going in the actual store to try on, compare pieces and get that instant gratification. I know that I am not repaying you for your help when I do that. However, I have found that most of your stores do in store pick-up so I will do my best to shop your links that way so I can do my part in showing my appreciation for your hard work!!

    Thanks!!

    Hi there!

Topic for the blog – You mentioned in a recent blog post (or maybe it was the reshare of last year’s NYE post… I don’t recall) that you and your husband had a bit of a rocky season, but are now better than ever. I’d love to hear some of the things you did to get to the place you are at now 🙂 We are in year 7 of marriage and things feel a little dull. Also, maybe date night ideas w/ outfit suggestions?!

Spring break suggestion: (I’ll add, that we do not have children yet) We went to Gulf Shores, AL in the spring a few years ago and LOVED it! We did see lots of families there on the beach. The town was so cute, and the beach is always a hit in my book.

I personally follow you for your fashion-related content. I absolutely love your outfits, our similar love for sales, and ADORE your personality – but girl, if you want to share more home renovation content, then you go for it! After all, this is YOUR blog, not ours. If home decor/renovation excites you, you will be excited to talk about it. If you aren’t as excited to talk about fashion, the content simply will not be as good. Not to sound harsh, but just trying to let you know – it’s ok to do you, girl! Do what you love and those with similar minds will always find you 🙂

    • THANK YOU so much for this!! I don’t have any desire to be a “home blogger”, but I do hope to share some of the renovation stuff. Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it SO much! Fashion and sales will always and forever be the main focus of my blog. 🙂
