Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours didn’t go quite as planned. As I mentioned earlier this week, we were headed to NY this weekend until, unfortunately, we arrived to the airport only to find out that all flights to NY for the next two days had all been canceled due to weather (at least that’s what the airline said). We were pretty bummed and, at first, thought we would just fly somewhere else and still have our little weekend getaway. However, since I have a work trip in two weeks and Kyle is coming with me, we decided just to head back home so we could be with the kiddos. Truthfully, though we were both excited about NY, we ended up having such a great family day yesterday so it made it all worth it!
Yesterday we planned all the the things for the kids. We went to a carnival, then to an arcade, then bowling, and then ended the day at and indoor trampoline park. We were POOPED! Ha! It was such a great day! The kids even slept in passed 9am this morning…which NEVER happens! I woke up with a full heart and thanked God for bringing us back home this weekend. Nothing makes us happier than making fun memories with the kids and that’s exactly what we did this weekend. NY can happen another time.
