How is everyone doing? I have good days, meh days, and bad days. I’m really trying to limit my news-watching time and remind myself that the news is there as an ongoing resource, but not as something we are supposed to watch all day long. Too much news-watching puts me in dark place. For my well-being, I have to look for joy in something daily. Do things that put a smile on my face and bring me joy. Some days are easier than others. And the days when Kyle heads to his shift, it’s hard. Thinking about the patients he will care for, truthfully, makes me nervous. However, with that, I am more thankful than ever for our first responders and all the people on the front line right now.
How are you holding up? What brings you joy right now? I have been having virtual coffee dates and/or happy hours with girlfriends and it’s been SO fun! What about food? Anyone else feel like they’re eating WAY more than normal? Portion control, what? Oh, and teaching my kids? That has taken some getting used to. We do school work in the mornings; we are finally getting into a routine. What about you? Also, what shows are you watching? Have you seen The Tiger King? Oh my heavens, I have no words for that show, but, I will say, it was a nice distraction form everything else that’s going on right now. Speaking of, I’m in the process of rounding up some fun, uplifting social media accounts that I’m loving. I’ll make a list to share with y’all because, let’s be honest, I’ve never appreciated a comical meme or a cute animal video more than I do now.
