I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Did you do anything fun? I was missing my family so much. Easter is always a holiday that we celebrate as a family so, though we had a nice time at home with the kids, I was missing my sisters, parents, and nieces and nephew very much. Then, because I’m such an over-thinker, I kept pondering about how sad it would be if this were Thanksgiving or Christmas and we couldn’t see our families. And then my thoughts went downhill from there. I feel like I have been keeping my spirits pretty high during all of this, but something about celebrating Easter without my family really made my sad.
In other news, I didn’t touch my computer the entire weekend which is incredibly rare for me, but felt great! Kyle grilled out, we watched more episodes of Ozark, we played tons of games with the kids, and I even had a slumber party with the kids in my room when Kyle was on shift. Though I was missing my family this weekend, putting my computer away and spending some quality time with Kyle and the kids, not thinking about work, is just what I needed.
